Craig and Kimberley Jared are the founders of Classic Car Cocoon, a family known for their deep appreciation of classic cars. Growing up, they both frequented car shows across Michigan: from the Motor City auto shows, and the lively Back to Bricks events in Flint, to the scenic shows in St. Ignace, nestled in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Being surrounded by car culture and the excitement of classic vehicles, muscle cars, and motorcycles, their passion for cars became a natural part of life. This shared enthusiasm brought them together, and inspired them to build a small family business focused on honoring the pride and heritage these vehicles hold. Their goal is to celebrate every vehicle’s story, whether it’s a treasured classic handed down through generations or a bold new motorcycle that captures attention.
Running a family-owned business allows the Jareds to uphold values they believe in that are rooted in hard work, quality craftsmanship, and loyalty. They are also able to blend traditional skills with modern technology, ensuring their products honor long-held traditions while meeting today’s demands.
The next generation of their family is also stepping up; their grown children, who have been involved from an early age, are gradually taking on leadership roles to carry forward the family legacy.
The Jareds take pride in delivering outstanding customer service. They understand that their product does more than just protect your vehicle; it helps preserve the family legacy your vehicle represents, just as Classic Car Cocoon honors theirs. With deep respect for vehicles both old and new, their mission is to safeguard your passion for generations to come.

Our origin

One of our starting cocoons

The crown on our Classic Car Cocoon’s logo features three distinct points, each representing a core value rooted in our family's values: hard work, quality craftsmanship, and loyalty. These points sit atop the crown as a reminder of the dedication we bring to protecting every vehicle. Like the crowns passed down through generations to symbolize lineage, our crown reflects the lineage that classic vehicles, and those destined to become classics, carry.
The shield beneath the crown symbolizes the strength and ultimate protection that guard these vehicles, which hold deep personal and family meaning. The ribbon wraps together our values, the protection, and those legacies into one cohesive symbol. The colors of our logo reinforce our mission. The rich gold stands for loyalty and timeless quality. The deep blue represents trust, reliability, and the enduring nature of family heritage.
Each vehicle we protect is more than just metal; it is a treasured family heirloom that connects generations. Our logo stands as a promise to help safeguard the pride and heritage your vehicle brings to those who follow.

Michigan’s bond with the automobile runs deep and is woven into the fabric of everyday life across the state. It began more than a century ago, when this region became the center of the burgeoning American auto industry. Cities like Detroit and Flint grew rapidly as factories produced some of the world’s most influential vehicles. Ford revolutionized manufacturing by creating the assembly line here, while Michigan also became the birthplace of the United Auto Workers Union, shaping both industry and labor history. The hum of assembly lines, the innovation of engineers, and the hardworking spirit of the people all combined to create a lasting legacy that shaped the economy and culture of Michigan.
Growing up in Michigan often comes with a soundtrack of stories about classic cars, muscle cars, and motorcycles. Families frequently pass down treasured vehicles and the passion that goes with them from one generation to another. Car shows, cruises, and automotive events are a regular part of life; they provide opportunities to celebrate this passion and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Even Michigan’s sports teams reflect this automotive heritage, with many named after car parts, showing how deeply the auto industry is part of the state’s identity.
This rich heritage has earned Michiganders a embraced reputation as dedicated "gear heads". It is about more than just the cars themselves; it is the community, pride in craftsmanship, and the joy of being part of an ongoing legacy that unites people throughout the state. Whether working under the hood or admiring a flawlessly restored classic, the love for cars creates a shared bond that crosses generations.
